While COA is not primarily an advocacy organization, we work actively to provide scientific information and to support other conservation organizations in the state. News COA Gets a New Look The Connecticut Ornithological Association announces improved updates and a new look across its offerings. Our logo and masthead have a fresh, updated look highlighted on our website and publications. The website now features secure payment, member-only content, increased type size and enhanced visual content. In addition, COA’s CTBirds email list has undergone some behind-the-scenes updates that help it continue to be the best place to report and discuss bird sightings in the state. Learn more. If you enjoy the CTBirds list-serve, birding calendar, workshops, two great quarterly publications, or behind-the-scenes support for birds and habitat throughout the state, then join us. Publications Two well-known Connecticut Ornithological Association publications include a journal, The Connecticut Warbler , and a newsletter, COA Bulletin , both produced quarterly. About The Connecticut Ornithological Association is the only statewide organization devoted to birds and birding in Connecticut. Since its founding in 1981, its membership has grown to well over 500 people who range from beginning birders to professional ornithologists.
